How it works

How a session goes.

No contracts, no scripted curriculum. Each session is shaped around what your student is actually working on.

  1. 1

    Reach out

Send a quick note about what class or test you're working on, and what's been tricky. I'll set up a free 15-minute intro call so we can talk it through.

  2. 2

    Pick a session

In person around Edmond (your home with a parent present, or a public library), or online over Zoom with a digital whiteboard.

  3. 3

    Watch it click

Sessions focus on strategy and personal attention: how to read a question, when to skip, what it's trying to get you to think about. Pay at the end of each session.

About the founder

Hi, I'm Jacob.

I'm a 15-year-old student in Edmond. I started Sigma because I noticed something simple: most tutoring is either really expensive or really impersonal. I'm still in school, and I just recently took these tests, so I know the stress of cramming for finals, feeling overwhelmed by homework, and worrying about the future. But I also know what helps me!

That's what I want to pass on. Sessions are casual and focused on what's actually slowing you down. No lectures, no slide decks, just the stuff that worked for me.

Kind words

Real reviews, coming soon.

Sigma is brand new. The first few families to come on are helping shape it, and their words will live here once they have them.

Be one of the first. The first three families to book two sessions get a free hour on the house, plus a thank-you in this section if they're up for it.

FAQ

Honest answers.

Is the first session free?

Not the full session, but a 15-minute intro call is free. You and your student can ask questions, see if it clicks, and decide from there.

Where do in-person sessions happen?

Either your home (with a parent present at all times) or a quiet table at an Edmond Public Library branch. We'll pick what works for you.

How do online sessions work?

Over Zoom, with screen-share and a digital whiteboard for working through problems together. Most students prefer it after one or two tries.

How does payment work?

Pay at the end of each session by Venmo, Zelle, or cash. No prepaid packages, no contracts.

Which grades and subjects do you tutor?

Middle school through high school. ACT and SAT, math through pre-calculus and calculus, science, and English. If I'm not the right fit for a niche subject, I'll say so up front.

How quickly do you reply?

Usually within a few hours on weekday afternoons and evenings, and most of the day on weekends. School comes first for me too, but I won't leave you hanging.

What if a session isn't helpful?

Tell me. We'll figure out what to change. If it turns out I'm not the right fit, I'll point you to someone who is. You only pay for time that helped.
